Movie Reviews

Los Angeles Times - 7/10 by Kevin ThomasWhile “Firewalker” isn’t as elaborate or sophisticated as the Spielberg-Lucas hit, it is fun, and Norris is loosened up and laid back as never before; just like Garbo, he really can laugh. But never fear, he’s still the man to have on your side in a barroom brawl.
Chicago Tribune - 5/10 by Dave KehrMake a Steven Spielberg clone. Making shoes or making kitsch is The same for those so sold on Resoling others' souls.
Reel Film Reviews - 3/10 by David Nusair...a palpably worthless relic of the 1980s.
Chicago Sun-Times - 3/10 by Roger EbertFirewalker is a free-form anthology of familiar images from the works of Steven Spielberg, subjected to a new process that we could call discolorization. All of the style and magic are gone, leaving only the booby-trapped temples, the steaming jungle and such lines as, if I remember correctly, "Witch, woman, harlot - I've been called them all!"
Washington Post - 3/10 by Rita KempleyA piddling non-adventure with Louis Gossett Jr. as a namby-pamby sidekick. It's Gung-Ho and Gunga Din, in yet another variation on the "Raiders" theme.
eFilmCritic.com - 3/10 by Scott WeinbergAlmost embarrassingly bad Chuck Norris "Raiders" rip-off.
New York Times - 2/10 by Vincent CanbyIt stars Chuck Norris in what his associates describe as ''the first comedy role in his action-packed career.'' How can they tell? Certainly not from the film, which is lightweight without being lighthearted.
User Review - 10/10 by Robert BThis was an excellent comedy, and an interesting change of genre for Chuck Norris. I would love to see Gosset Jr. and Norris do a "21yrs later" sequel, call me crazy, but I love shit like that.
User Review - 10/10 by Mark Pjust look at the cover and u wanna watch it
User Review - 10/10 by dan fthis movie is so underrated, its actually fantastic! its a bit campy cheesy silly at times, but its a really great movie! just the critics of the time were upset because they copied other movie themes, so what big freakin deal!? theres not a thing wrong with this movie except its a little bit too tame and mild and really geared towards kids, with all the tame lame scenes where people die, but that's a good thing! I don't mind a bullet bouncing off a wall ten times and killing a bad guy, its better than seeing Norris slit his throat and watching blood gush into the air , sometimes lack of realism is a good thing! this is a fictional movie, and a fun one !
