User ReviewChristine JFar North, is a exciting moving to watch despite not much talking in it. The landscape is beyond breathtaking. I watch the movie because Sean Bean is in it and was taken back by how good the other actors where in it. I was very shocked at the ending of the movie. It is nothing like any movie I have seen. Sean Bean brings the movie together, with his strong acting and his already rough looks. A more believable movie with him in it. It's worth watching and if you don't want to buy it, rent it.
User ReviewJames MHoly Crap. Visually stunning, the story line was slow but good. The ending Definitely was worth watching the whole movie. Still in shock, and i finished the movie like a half hour ago.
User ReviewTaryn FA savage tale in a cold land with an even colder heart will chill you to your core!
User ReviewPaul DVisually stunning film with a storyline as harsh as the environment it's set in and a horrific ending.
User ReviewAlan OA stunningly photographed film directed by Asif Kapadia. Two woman living in the north circle, completely in solitude, partly to escape their troubled past and the dangers the landscape offers, find an injured soldier and quickly come to his aid. Unbeknown to them, this sets of a chain of events thats ends with deadly consequences. A slow burning, intimate but deeply moving tale with superb cinematography and honest, heartbreaking performances. Recommended.
User ReviewColm MOriginal. Great scenery, not much dialogue....it all builds to the final scene. Your left trying to understand why?...you could come up with several reasons. I like it when directors are fearless. Has a dark mythical quality.
User ReviewSimon PBeautiful and bleak just like the scenery.
