Fishing partners Paul Whalen and Jim Payne are rivals for the affections of Jennie Blake, a schoolteacher from the city who came to their small town of Rocky Point to teach school. After Jim is beaten in a fight by Paul, Jennie marries Paul and Jim leaves town.
