User ReviewBeth CI saw this documentary on Netflix a few nights ago.. Very well put together, informative, and most of all CREEPY! I recommend it !
User ReviewMartin BI really liked this film. It makes you think what was going on in West Virginia in 1966-67 - mothman, UFO, men in black,... ;-)
User ReviewKyle EExtremely well-put together documentary on all those crazy events from that small, but famous town in West Virgina. I was always intrigued by the events of the Mothman ordeal, and the 2002 film with Richard Gere was a bit less then stellar. However, what makes "Eyes of the Mothman" compelling is that it presents all sides of the story about the Mothman. The only complaint I have is that at two hours and thirty five minutes, it runs a bit long. Still, for those that are interested in paranormal, The Mothman is perhaps one of the most intriguing stories.
User ReviewYva SVery interesting accounts of the events that transpired in Point Pleasant. Even if some of the stuff mentioned is questionable there's no doubt that it's interesting. Get past the first 20 minutes about the curse and you'll soon find yourself in a tale of the weird and the horrifying. Keep paying attention and you'll see an intertwined tale of curses, monsters, aliens, and disaster.
User ReviewBrandon SI really enjoyed it. In covering the history of the strange phenomenon it includes a number of different ideas about what might have been going on in Point Pleasant, West Virginia during the 60s. I thought the documentary was thought provoking, funny(unintentionally), and spooky.
User ReviewRandy TA detailed history of Point Pleasant West Virginia. Film maker Matt Pellowski leaves no stone unturned and he strives to link the curse of Chief Cornstalk, secret military operations, mutant wildlife, UFO's and the collapse of the Silver Bridge to the sightings of a red-eyed winged monster. Pellowski's attention to detail frequently leads him off topic or to repetitious testimony. If you're interested in the history of the region then this is a gold mine of material, but if the Mothman is what you're after you'll have to wade through a river of unrelated information to find him.
User ReviewColleen Bstrange to say the least....it did drag on for quite a bit, but you have to admit the town of Pt. Pleasant experience some really freaky stuff.
User ReviewBrett BAn epic-length documentary exploring "mothman" lore, the filmmakers leave no stone unturned, delving into every conceivable aspect of the mythos surrounding the mysterious sightings of a strange creature in West Virginia. This thoroughness is both a positive and a negative, for the film does go a bit overboard in its willingness to digress from the central issue of the creature itself.
User ReviewLuis GQuite informative, maybe a bit too long. Really goes into a lot of the mythology surrounding the Mothman. Plenty of eye-witness accounts from seemingly credible townsfolk. Some stylistic decisions such as close-ups of the eyes and interviewee identifiers occur too often and become distracting. A pretty engrossing doc on a very interesting supernatural subject.
User ReviewRichard LNeat documentary in bad need of an editor.
