During an all-night, drug-fueled party at an abandoned asylum known for the horrific treatment of its patients, a group of ordinary teens decide to experiment with the occult, mysteriously leading to a violent possession. In an effort to find help, the group rushes to escape, only to find themselves locked inside with no means of communication. Tempers flare, trusts are broken and in attempt to save one of their friends possessed by the demon, the amateurs try to perform an exorcism. Instead of solving the problem, and unbeknownst to them, they unleash an even more powerful and vengeful spirit, one with a distinct motive and which wants them all dead. The teen's only chance of survival is to uncover the asylum's deep mysteries and find a way out before it's too late. Their search for answers uncovers the asylum's dark past and the terrible secrets that are harbored within its walls. What started as a harmless paranormal experiment turns into a fast paced bloody paranormal nightmare with unexpected consequences.

User ReviewSue PThis film is definitely a must see if you like to be scared.
User ReviewLisa TWhat fun romp, think The Exorcist meets The Hangover meets the Breakfast Club.
User ReviewPrivate UThis movie had throwback written all over it. A group of teens go to party in an abandoned asylum only to find out that the evil that is rumored to haunt it's halls is all too real. Reminiscent of the 1988 B movie classic, Night of the Demons both in story and in gory ;). The actors in this movie did well throughout and I hope to see them in more movies in the future, Michael Ormsby looks to be Jay Mewes' young doppelganger. I was surprised to find this was produced by the makers of the horrible paranormal activity franchise, which gives more scares from what you don't see... which is a stark contrast to the dismembered tongues and faces in this little sweet treat.
User ReviewAngela GPeople are gonna see my stars and be like "what?" But I found this slasher flick a refreshing comedy or gore! Definetly makes my must have list! Right next to Army of Darkness!!
User ReviewAngelo DOne of the better horror movies that I have seen in quite awhile. Pretty good storyline and the effects weren't that bad.
User ReviewKevin FSo funny and scaring at the same time !!!
User ReviewFernando HThis is actually a very good horror movie. Its definitely undervalue probably because people dont get the humor in it. It's a combination of Exorcism + Slasher Movies.
User ReviewAdrienne LThis movie starts off like it is going to be horrible. You're convinced of that fact for the first 10-15 (okay maybe 20) minutes but it actually does pay off! As long as you understand that this flick is half horror-half teen, you will see how some horror film cliches are performed surprisingly well. This film is well acted, and is a brag on the resume of any makeup artist or set designer who is getting their feet wet, particularly in genre films. It is hard to please horror buffs, and I have to say I've been though the rolodex. While I learned nothing new about the genre, I was entertained. Really, this movie is a 3-3.5 star flick... But I bumped it to encourage others to give it a chance past the opening sequences.
User ReviewJeff PThis movie suprised me a lot. I expected a cheap, poorly directed and acted horror movie filled with cliches. Instead, I got a movie which was directed really well, acted good and with a lot of fun. The movie sometimes feels like Evil Dead. There are some similiar plot points, which I will not spoil. The story is the usual. There's a haunted asylum at which bunch of teens party and spend the night in and at the morning when almost everybody is gone, 5 kids decide to make one of them levitate. Which, of course, goes wrong and now they got a demon possessing them one by one and making them kill each other. There isn't much to the story, but the overall movie was very scary and even had a couple of funny scenes. The movie looks great. It's directed really well and it doesn't feel like a low-budget flick at all! The acting is pretty good, though the characters are very cliched and you don't really care about them. There is quite a lot of gore and violence, and it all looks great! There wasn't really a time where I was like "That looks really fake". The soundtrack is your usual horror soundtrack with lots of intense music. All in all, a great horror movie with great visual effects, good acting, an interesting, but underwhelming, story, some funny humour and genuine scares! I would recommend seeing this if you like horrors like Evil Dead.
User ReviewStephen LMy boyfriend and I really enjoyed it, and it is so hard to find a movie he actually likes! The ending was also very good! I loved it, bit cheesy here and there but better then the really crap B horror flicks with all the smut & bad actors.
