User Review - 10/10 by Rianna LI've been a long-time fan of Wong Fu Productions, but I can honestly say that this movie blew me away. The complexity of the characters (and the honesty of the actors) throughout their struggles with love is relatable to anyone who watches this. I loved the vibe of the movie; it was fresh, it was real, it was comfortable. I'm incredibly impressed with Wong Fu and how far they've come, and I'm so excited to see what they do next.

It's a movie you must see- it teaches people of all ages that "Love is not supposed to be easy. It's supposed to test you. Break you down and hurt like hell. Actors clearly deliver on their most dramatic moments that suprised me but stumble a bit everywhere else. there is hope for them yet! Story concept is really original. The end of the movie is worth the cheezy wait. when idealistic thinking clashes with reality is part of everyonPes growing pains. The movie does not come full circle but rather find a new and more mature center. this is a good thing!

I love the push for Asian-American leads in non-stereotypical tropes and how charming the character interactions were.

For those unfamiliar with Wong Fu Productions, they started out on YouTube making short films and have prided themselves on telling stories they identify with. To the average moviegoer, this movie may seem different from the typical Hollywood romance film, and it is. It isn't meant to conform to the typical tropes because you are meant to follow the characters in-depth and fill in the blanks in your head instead of simply putting your faith on dramatic changes. I personally enjoyed this movie, there were times when things felt stagnant and it progresses its parallel storytelling at a pace that doesn't make you feel lost or confused. There are definitely some moments where dialogue may seem almost "cringe-y" but it casts a realism to relationships that does away with typical on-screen relationships and appeals to people on a personal level.
