After many years at sea, Manolios--the right-hand man of the old-fashioned seaman, Captain Nikolas--decides to return to his hometown to get married to his long-term fiancée, Lenio. Instead, after the captain's friendly request, Manolios stays in Athens to keep an eye on his beautiful daughter, Popi, who's secretly in love with the young and inexperienced captain, Dimitris.
