User ReviewYannis SThis is a rather cool made for TV movie. I only rented this on behalf of a friends request who said it was good and I am glad I did. It looks rather cheap(for a sci-fi film) and contains the usual lame actors who seem to just go through the motions, but the concept and ideas put forward by the scriptwriters and director can not be ignored. I'm a sucker when it comes to earth being portrayed as a mess in the future. A lot of science fiction writers who conjured up these ideas in thought actually find their creations taken seriously by some government bodies. Vehicles that travel underwater were only talked about in science fiction books 100-200 years ago for example, but now there are such things as Submarines. Everyone should know by now that the human race will bring upon their eventual downfal/destruction right? Well, this film has nothing to do with what I am saying, but these movies make me think like that for some reason and so they should. There are better sci-fi films out there that contain deeper social commentaries on humanity and how we use the world we live in. This film didn't actually contain too much, but it was entertaining none the less. The death's where exciting and like I've said the concept well thought of. Anyone in the mood for a decent sci-fi fix with some cool deaths should check this out. just remember that is was made for TV...
User ReviewRobert HThis low budget scifi flick has some good things going for it with decent set pieces and CG work but the lame love story just doesn't work and the cheap hockey gear costumes bring the production down to made in my garage levels... which works if the film is made in a garage. Nothing is truly explained properly and the film ends up being a jumbled mess after awhile as we wash rince repeat to what would have been a heart warming ending... if the rest of the film had accomplished what it set out to do.
User ReviewAlicia GInteresting premise but the film disappoints.
