VarietyRonnie SchiebMust-see fare for fans of the bosomy camp horror queen.
L.A. WeeklyChuck WilsonPeterson and her longtime writing partner, John Paragon, as well as director Sam Irvin, clearly worship the Poe-inspired Roger Corman/Vincent Price films of the 1960s, so of course theres a pit and a pendulum in that dungeon, but whod have expected it to be so beautifully designed?
New York PostLou LumenickAt 52, Elvira (Cassandra Peterson) still looks a treat and, more important, effortlessly wields her double entendres like a Romanian Mae West.
New York Daily NewsElizabeth WeitzmanIt's so cheerfully cheesy, you can't help but be amused.
New Times (L.A.)Luke Y. ThompsonDon't go to this movie looking to be actually scared, but as a gothic romp it's surprisingly effective.
Boston GlobeTy BurrShe's like Bob Hope with fake breasts and a wig. Now, that's scary.
Cinema CrazedFelix Vasquez Jr.[Star] Cassandra Peterson hasn't lost her wit, edge or... ahem--assets...
User ReviewvikmoraesThe best movie I ever seen! Elvira is perfect, she owns the stage, she looks like linda evangelista, she is a model! THE HILARIUS ELVIRA, watch this please, okur?
User ReviewRoger DIt's slapstick humour and I loved it. Plus, it has Richard O'Brien from "Rocky Horror" in it. What's not to like?
User ReviewLisa Michelle AThis sequel was a long time in coming!!! I LOVE ELVIRA!!! She's hilarious and Cassandra Peterson is such a funny comical actress!!! I still think the first will always be the best but this still manages to make me laugh, just not as much. The best lines: [the coach hits a bump and Bradley flies forward, shoving his face into Elvira's cleavage] Elvira, Mistress of the Dark: "Lucky for you, I come with my own air bags!" The Maid: "Your cloak, Mum?" [the Maid does a quick curtsy. Elvira curtsies back as she takes off her velvet cape and hands it to her] The Maid: "Your gloves, Mum?" [Same] The Maid: "Your shoes, Mum?" Elvira, Mistress of the Dark: "Hey, I usually get paid to do this..."
