Two brothers in their seventies, Pa and Moe, have lived together all their lives in a little house in the country, the only interruption being when Pa made a weekend trip to Småland on his moped during the second World War. The past returns when his adult son dating from his Swedish visit, Konrad, comes to live with them after his mother has fallen ill. Soon Moe is about to discover that three is indeed a crowd...... | User ReviewTor MFrom the very first scene you know what you will get: two slow, old men in old fashioned surroundings. Most shots are long and there is not much happening here. This does not mean that the film is boring - ah well, OK then, but for me it's a great film. It captures the lives of the odd and old brothers in a way that makes it very trustworthy. When Konrad arrive the film get a small tension lift - something is happening. Pa and Moe's lives will change, and we're about to witness the slowly evolving change. For me this film is a good film since it is different. The plot is interesting and there is a fun undertone the entire playtime. It's a drama comedy with terrific acting shot in a great way. Still, this is probably not for everyone and it's understandable that some people might find it boring. |
