A motley group of Asian prisoners held in the US are given one chance for freedom. They are to go deep into Vietnam and destroy a secret depot of missles that the US left behind during the pull-out. The group, led by Lt. Lam and convict Tung, hook up with a trio of female freedom fighters and a happy go lucky martial artist named 'Rat'. The entire group is captured by the VC because one of them is a double agent, but they escape, cross an un-crossable bridge, and get to the secret base just ahead of the VC. By this point nearly all of the original group is dead, and it's up to Tung and Rat to fight the VC's leader, a bizarre giggling man who's lightning fast with martial arts.

User ReviewLea WDirty Dozen, Hong Kong style! Violent war movie with martial arts mixed in.
User ReviewDave JFriday, May 21, 2010 (1986) Eastern Condors (In Chinese with English subtitles) ACTION This is not a very good war film at all but the thing is that if there is any reason to see this film it would be to see Samo Hung do what he does best and that is to do some hard core martial art fighting. Hard hitting martial arts is still is one my favorivite things to see for any film that to me was definitely worth every penny to be added onto my long extensive action film collection!! This is Samo at his best who also ended up marrying the actress Joyce Goodenza who also starred in this film too. I must confess though, all I did was that I fast- forwarded most of it's dismissal storyline and just watch the action sequences, since at that particular time action sequences are always planned first before storyline. While the storyline gets a zero, but as an action film- this film gets 4 out of 4
User ReviewJah SI wasn't expecting this to be as awesome as it turned out to be, seeing as it's a complete different setting for the hong kong action scene of the 80's! Really great film with some amazing full contact performances from Yuen Biao, Sammo Hung and Joyce Godenzi. Different, amazing and refreshing.
User ReviewHilmi hSplendid action movie, shooting and killing very realistic.. Plus Summo Hung and Yuen Biao potrait a good fighting skills..
User ReviewAlan LThe perfect HK-action war flick. 100% Awesomeness. Love it.
User ReviewJason JA Vietnam movie unlike you've ever seen before as Sammo Hung leads a rag tag bunch of criminals to Vietnam in order to destroy some missiles left by the US. For those who like their action fast and furious you will not be disappointed here.
User ReviewEric ROver 20 years ago, Samo and his crew set out to make Eastern Condors, a film peppered with incredible fight action. This one is not to be missed and is definitely one of my favourites. Truly a modern kung fu action classic.
User ReviewPeter SGreat action movie made by the legendary Sammo Hung, comedy, action and kungfu all in one movie, which is sammo 1st huge budget film and an instant hit.
User ReviewJoey BSome of the best action I've seen in a film. Totally off the wall, hit you in the gut and make you laugh action. Sammo Hung is awesome for making this film.
User ReviewLee DSimply: THE GREATEST FILM EVER MADE! I broke it down: Why I think Eastern Condors in the greatest film ever made - here it goes (keep in mind this is a very personal break down): 1- 100 years of film-making (give or take a few years) = Dozens and dozens of different film genres. 2- Dozens and dozens of different film genres = The action genre being the greatest of all genres. 3- The action genre being the greatest of all genres = Hong Kong being the greatest of all countries to make action films. 4- Hong Kong being the greatest of all countries to make action films Sammo Hung being the greatest Hong Kong Action Director. 5- Sammo Hung being the greatest Hong Kong Action Director = Eastern Condors being Sammo's greatest achievement. Think about this: John Woo created some of the greatest Gun-Fu moments in cinematic history, however is hand-to-hand combat is slighting boring. Jackie Chan has certainly created some of the greatest Kung-Fu moments ever, but his films become boring once anyone picks up a gun. Sammo Hung is the only filmmaker who can blend both elements of Gun-Fu and Kung-Fu in one movie and make each style equally entertaining to watch. Eastern Condors is the best example of this. Another reason why: EASTERN CONDORS IS THE GREATEST FILM EVER MADE!
