| User ReviewPhineass FThis movie was simply beautiful. Watching it can only be described as a transcendental experience, I cried about 6 times throughout. The death of the grandfather (spoiler alert) is shocking, but tastefully done, and for that i tip my hat to the good sirs behind the screen animating this masterpiece. The phrase "Do my Dweagon Eyes Decieve me" has become a regular part of my everyday vocabulary, and I cherish it almost as dearly as my hamster Davargan (which I named after my favorite character). In short, I cannot recommend this movie enough. I do not even have kids yet I find myself coming back to it time and time again. Truly 10/10. |
| User ReviewJason EFamily is what's important. The Fitzgerald Family in America, whose descendants are from Ireland, have a grandfather who won the right to be blessed with the Dwegons that are helpful fairy types that help those in need when they can. They also collect things, especially gold. When the grandfather dies, he passes the Dwegons down the family line. When his descendants move into his house, they're in for a life changing experience. "Have you ever had a problem finding one of your socks?" Tom Walsh delivers Dwegons and Leprechauns in his directorial debut. The storyline was fun and unfolded well and the characters were well written and fun. The animation was above average but not elite. The voices fit the characters well and are pretty funny. "Never try to bamboozle a bamboozler." I found this on Netflix and decided it would be a cool March movie to watch with my daughter. It was entertaining and she loved it. There is definitely some pretty cool things they do with the animation, and the color schemes are beautiful. This film is definitely worth a viewing, but doesn't reach elite status. I do recommend watching this with your child. "That ox is in trouble." Grade: C+ |
