Convicted murderer Molesch is still on the run after escaping from a hospital. Everything indicates that he is still in the area and hiding in the woods around the Thuringian town of Dreileben. So far, however, there is no hot lead. Now the police psychologist Johanna, who has traveled especially to the area, is to create a profile of the fugitive and thus put the investigators of the LKA on the right track. Since there are no more rooms available in the only hotel in the area, Johanna lives with her old friend Vera and her partner Bruno, an author of successful pulp novels. The two live at the edge of the forest, on a large, seemingly enchanted plot of land in a turn-of-the-century house. And the more time Johanna spends there with them, the more her police work, which she does with experience and routine, recedes into the background. As close as the relationship between Vera and Johanna still is, it is suddenly strained when it turns out that many years ago they loved the same man at the same time. Meanwhile, in the hunt for Molesch, an unexpected opportunity arises: a young woman who corresponds to his victim type is to serve as a decoy for the police.

| User ReviewRoy SThe second part of a German trilogy about an escaped killer. The three movies look at overlapping events from different perspectives. This one deals with a female police psychologist who is trying to catch the killer during the day, and is involved in some sort of odd love quadrangle with old friends at night. It's okay. |
