| User ReviewMovie KWatched this movie a few times and I will still cry at some of the scenes. Kenny Ho is a newbie inmate. John Ching makes noises and Andy Lau takes the rap for him, losing his dinner time. Kenny is bullied by a gang and Andy fight the gang boss. John will take care of Andy in future. Kenny is angry his mum marry a rich lawyer and refuse to study. Andy encourage him and study with him. He got better result than Kenny. Andy is in jail for killing a gangster under William Ho. He ask Kenny to inform the girlfriend Gigi Lai he is transfer to another jail and will be release soon. Kenny decide to study law in UK to avoid his mum and step-dad. Andy become a small teacher and John is also release. William find trouble with Andy again and demand $100k compensation. John want to help him and so ask Andy to join his gang and let the big boss settle the issue. Andy join reluctantly. William is off course not happy. Andy & John go fighting together and is hurt badly. John have no choice but to give him drugs to stop the pain. They both get more experience and fierce in fights and rise up the rank. Eventually the duo runs a karaoke joint. Andy marries Gigi. Kenny return to HK and catch up with his 2 friends. William makes trouble in the joint and Andy is hurt. The senior gangster step in to chase William away. Andy goes home and take drug. Kenny is sadden he become an addict. Gigi explain to Kenny and Andy slap her. Kenny now knows why he is force to become like this. Andy promise to kick away the habit and succeed. The big boss task Andy to settle an issue in a joint which is disturb by some unknown gang. William don't want to take part. Because he is in cahoot with a corrupted cop to nail them all for gang fight. Even the gangster is hired by him. Andy and John join the fight and the cop round them up. The duo manage to escape. Andy is hurt and refuse the drug. Next day he call home and William hold Gigi hostage, as well as the big boss. He kill him and rape Gigi. The duo knock into a school bus door and the woman demand compensation. Andy goes home and both are dead. The corrupted cop arrive and nab him. Kenny want to fight the case for him and for the first time plead with the step-dad for help. Key witness is the lady but she left HK. The trial is ongoing and Kenny face a tough prosecutor Lung Fong. John finally found the lady but is knock down by a van. He injures badly but plead the lady to be witness. The jury is sentencing Andy guilty and luckily the key witness arrive and he is not guilty. John dies in the court from the injury. The cop is nab by ICAC. Andy bring back Gigi's ash. William and his men go his home to kill him. Andy is force to fight back when he smash the urn. He take out the knife from the fridge and kills them all. Andy then call police to surrender. Kenny visit him in jail and still remain best buddies. |
