Full Plot Details

In the year 3048, the wounded Lord Kagemitsu Daigo proposes a deal to rule the whole world to forty-eight demons in their sealed temple. In return, the demons ask forty-eight parts of the body of his unborn son. When the mutilated baby is born, his mother puts him in a basket in the river flow to save his life. The baby survives and becomes the demon slayer Hyakkimaru that slash demons to retrieve his body parts. During his journey, he meets the female thief Dororo, who was raised as a boy after the death of her parents by the evil Lord Daigo, in a small town and she befriends Hyakkimaru and joins him in his quest seeking revenge against the Daigo's clan.

I see some whining about the CGI being bad, but for someone like me, who has watched a lot of Japanese Tokusatsu, and movie, I've noticed that the Japanese don't really care if CGI is good, or not. They really only use it if they have to. I mean come on they still have an actor get into a monster costume, and all that. They don't waste 200 million dollars (US) on CGI (This movie's budget was about the equivalent of 17 million US dollars.) The story is a little weird, but I completely got it. The acting was good. I can't wait for Dororo 2 and 3, which are currently being made, and are suppose to come out in 2008 and 2009.

A story of a King who gave up with new born sun to have the power to rule the world and in doing so, the demons that granted him this wish took each body part of Dororo and lived in the world. Dororo was set to find his body parts in killing each demon and finding the truth of his father.

What do you feel when you finally see your own mother after 20 years??? What do you feel when you have to kill your father??? Just watch this film and feel the sensation!!!!
