In Thailand, the young Ton Chatree is sent to a boarding school by his father to study harder and have less entertainment with television. Once in the school, Ton feels outcast and misses his family and friends. | User Reviewjohnson nTo be honest the first time me and my friends read the title "dorm" we thought it was going to be a scary movie. As we watched we questioned, but at the end it was darn a** good. This is an amazing film and being able to watch a young boy gain a friend even if he is a spirit and being able to help him live on is truely remarkable and heartwarming. |

| User ReviewShelby CThis isn't particularly scary for a horror film, except for a couple tense jump scenes, but it's still a great Thai film with a moving, well-written story. I guess the oxymoron of "supernatural realism" applies here, since the movie presents issues like death and bullying in a very real manner, but with the added element of ghosts, which allows the filmmaker to explore these issues in a unique and interesting way. It's refreshing that it avoids so many of the ghost story cliches, so I can forgive the fact that the ending still winds up being a little predictable. |

It's absolutely fascinating how successful Asian horrors tend to take a storytelling route, much stronger than their American counterparts. |
