User ReviewMark HJohn Hughes rules - this is a great, GREAT documentary
User ReviewLouis EBreakfast Club, Weird Science, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, 16 Candles, Pretty in Pink..... Sound familiar? Director John Hughes directed and wrote these and many other teenage flicks and has been a recluse for nearly 20 years. This great documentary that follows a group of Hughe's fans to re-introduce him to a new generation of fans. Do they succeed? If you have teenagers, for the love of God, introduce them to these movies I grew up with and pass these classic 80's movies on to new generations.......

User ReviewJonathan BJohn Hughes changed the face of teen films forever during the 80's giving a frank look into the teenage psyche with films like The Breakfast Club and 16 Candles. This documentary looks into the phenomena of John Hughes films which still relate to teens today and the journey by the film makers to find John Hughes who went from regular big time regular Hollywood director and writer, producer to a recluse before his recent untimely death. With interviews with actors from his films talking about his influence on them and an audience to film makers today including Kevin Smith who were heavily influenced by Hughes films. It give a fascinating look on his influence everywhere in pop culture. Very insightful and interesting if not sad look at John Hughes. RIP
User ReviewShawn MJohn Hughes made so many great 80's comedies. One of your favorites is likely one of his movies. Post yours if you wish. Mine was PLANES, TRAINS and AUTOMOBILES.
