User ReviewBeatriz TStumbled across this, it's keeping me in suspense! Love old horror/sci fi movies.
User ReviewGreg WI really enjoyed this film. It is the perfect 1950s sci fi feature. Frankly, it's everything you would expect. The concept is far fetched (1. A brain being able to survive outside of the body, and 2. the living brain being able to control other people remotely.) One huge point of interest in this film (and the reason I watched it in the first place) is the presence of Nancy Davis. A woman who would go on to become better known as Nancy Reagan, first lady of the united states. Frankly, when you watch the film it's kind of funny thinking about that.
User ReviewCarlton RThis is a very stylish, horror/thriller, It starts off that a Scientist and his wife and friend have been killing monkeys to try to keep their brains alive outside of their bodies,a young monkey is killed, and the brain is kept alive with the brain functions being monitored, however the doctor is called to a nearby plane crash of a millionaire,One of the passengers is still alive, but in bad shape, so he is taken to the doctors home to the lab which is nearer, sadly the millionaire cannot be saved, but the doctor decides to remove his brain, after picking up signs on the monitor that his brain is still alive. Despite please not to do this, he does, soon he believes he can communicate with the brain, however his companions think he is making it up, but soon learn this is not the case. The doctor starts to take on the behaviors of the late man, and goes out to settle some scores, the problems that confront him, Is a nosey reporter who starts blackmailing him, and the brain begins to take him over completely, until he plans to kill his wife and friends as they know too much. It's a very enjoyable film, and keeps the viewer interested throughout.
User ReviewChristopher SA pretty solid effort with a predictably lame ending. Nacy Davis Reagan was, as expected, awful, but otherwise well worth a look.

User ReviewOrlok WOut of the ashes of noir rises the sci-fi cycle--Gray Matters!!
User ReviewDon PIt's about giant brain, and Nancy Reagan in it. What's not to like?
User ReviewJuli NHorror/Sci-Fi Noir cross-over that is watchable at best!
User ReviewDouglas MI watched this movie expecting your typical classic horror movie schlock, which I got, but I was also pleasently surprised. This movie actually had a strong sense of atmosphere and quick-witted dialogue. A neat little gem of a movie.
