User ReviewKatelynn RThe 1996 Fox interpretation of the legendary BBC series. This is not the best in terms of Doctor Who stories, but the movie is worth it for Paul McGann's incredible and romantic portrayal of the Doctor. Be warned, this was made in America and the ending makes no sense at all. If your a Doctor Who fan, watch it! If you've never seen the series, watch "The Empty Child" (2005), "The Girl in the Fireplace" (2006), or "Human Nature" (2007). These episodes are the reason this show is one of the top rated series' in the world. It won Best Drama, Best Actor, and Best Actress in 2005 and 2006 and will probably do it again this year.
User ReviewMaryam QIt is awesome! Paul McGann is great as the Eighth Doctor, and the Master is also awesome!
User ReviewAdam LIt was a great movie adaptation of an already great series. The set designs were spectactular and the actors chosen were pretty well casted. The story could have a been a bit better, but over I give it two thumbs up for trying. I would have love to seen either Sylvestor McCoy stay on as the Doctor or McGann continue in at least a few more eps or even another Movie.
User ReviewMariko LI enjoyed this very much as it is the first Doctor Who I have ever seen. W/O this I would not have been interested in the rest of the originals and the followings, etc. Paul McGann is brilliant and the best persona of the Doctor. Eric Roberts, despite his horrible version of the Master, was extremly entertaining and amusing. I feel they could have kept Paul as the Doctor in the future, but I suppose his audio adventures will have to do. He voice makes me melt hehe!
User ReviewKeidah BIT WAS A GREAT ONE THOUGH I WASNT BORN IN 1996 I WATCHED AS A REPEAT ON UKTV GOLD
User ReviewMichael RIt was a wonderful movie--considering we had seen NO "Doctor Who" in 9 years at this point it was fantastic! In hindsight people can whine and complain - in context it was a wonderful thing.
User Reviewaviva bdoctor who is the BEST!! but the movie is like a very long episod :P
User ReviewJason SShame the series didn't get greenlit. Eric Roberts is coooooooooooooooooooool.
User ReviewBrock Ji love this movie, it would be cool if doctor who would make a new movie
User ReviewSherri NWhat a wonderfully forgotten classic film. Paul McGann is one of the most fabulously confused Doctors ever to grace the sci-fi screen. Although almost every word that comes out of his mouth contradicts some aspect established by other Doctors. But it's still a fun ride!
