He also moonlights with a tutoring center called Chatwal Coaching Class in order to make ends meet. Hoping to pacify his family with his income-tax refund, he will instead be compelled to give up its entire amount after his Meerut-based sister Urmi invites them over to a wedding. He borrows a car from a neighbor, Farooqui, and, after a rather dramatic trip, is forced to compensate him as the car gets damaged. Unable to bear taunts that he cannot afford a car, he decides to buy one. It is this decision that will force Payal to seek employment in a call center. Sandeep will confess that he has been gambling, which leaves Santosh with no alternative but to consider accepting bribes from students and risk being exposed on live TV.

User ReviewShuaib YIn my humble opinion - best Indian movie of 2010.
User ReviewPavan RVery nice movie after a long time... easy going , but hitting hard on the subject of common man and his struggles in life. Worth watching this... Acting by Rishi and Neetu singh is excellent.
User ReviewAshish TOne of the most lovable pairs of yesteryears (who gave us such hits as Rafoochakkar, Khel Khel Mein, Kabhi Kabhie) stage a comeback after 30 years here to deliver a family film about a Math teacher's middle-class and mid-life struggle to make both ends meet. Neetu and Rishi Kapoor are simply a treat to watch. Hats off to writer/director Habib Faisal.
User ReviewAmar KA very well made movie. Simple plot penned with believable characters, fine storytelling and superb performances. Also guaranteeing enough laughter and feel good factor. Rishi Kapoor was a treat to watch, just impeccable performance. A little gem indeed. Great Watch.
User ReviewMohammad AKapoor's portrayal of a maths teacher is simply brilliant.
User ReviewHeather Mentertaining..............but wont b for everyone....... neways......d movie is precise at pinpointing d tiniest detail about a typical middle class couple in india....and d acting is gud too. wid a small budget, this movie pulls off hilarious characterization.....
User ReviewPranav KDelightful and entertaining movie that illustrates the increasing consumerism and "keeping up with the Jones'" culture in North India. Rishi Kapoor and his middle class family must make outlandish purchases in order to maintain their dignity and respect within their society, their extended family, and even amongst themselves. Hilarious, refreshing movie with really good performances, especially that of the son.
User ReviewZahid MYou might not make the same decisions taken by the characters in a story, or you may not be living the lifestyle as they do, If the filmmakers show it in a convincing way probably you wouldn't even think of what you would have done in the same situation. I feel Do Dooni Chaar lacks the convincing power completely. So I failed to understand each and every decision made by the characters in the movie, which was pretty frustrating. Giving it 2 stars coz of excellent acting by Rishi Kapoor.
