| User ReviewStephan KDeath Spa is like a thesis on shlocky 80's horror sensibilities, and the only argument you need in defence of movies being an art form. Scene after scene it is gorgeous, interesting to look at, and moves at an impressive pace. This shit is so in line with what I look for in a movie it's scary. Also Michael and his lawyer were 100% fuck buddies. "All right bitch, I'll show you fried chicken." |

This movie has both, and a completely nonsensical plot engineered solely to justify naming a movie 'Deathspa' is just the start. Worth watching only if you plan on heckling it loudly with friends. |

| User ReviewEnnis Brokeback LI was hoping that this would have the same bang for the buck that KILLER WORKOUT but alas, the witchery afoot in an automated health club doesn't have quite the same zany weirdness as I was pulling for. Still, there are some laughs to be had, I'd just suggest a double feature of this and the other film, but make sure to end strong with the other movie. Rental for sure, with the right group of people. |
| User ReviewAl MThis was a fun late 80's horror movie. A little basic at times, possession and revenge, with some creative death scenes. Some recognizable actors in early roles like Ken Foree, Karyn Parsons and Chelsea Field. Re-watchable horror with some good gore and nudity. |

Turns out the club's hi-tech computer system is possessed by the spirit of the owner's deceased wife, who displays more power than a gym rat on the pec deck. Thankfully, attendance to the club's Mardi Gras party appears unaffected. Great cover art. |
| User ReviewMartin Chrmmm, what to say about death spa? well there were boobs 5 minutes and 20 seconds into the movie (i timed how long THAT would take) a bit of eye poking and other gore scenes..but overall not that great...it may work as a midnight movie if nothing else is on and you love 80's cheese! |
| User ReviewMark BWell another movie straight from the 80's this one centers around a health spa owner who's wife has killed herself and the person running the state of the art controls just happens to be her brother who isn't to happy with the owner considering he blames him for his sisters death now people are being killed off one by one and the owner must find out whats happening before he loses all his clients and his business. i didn't find this movie all that entertaining it had some so so scenes but nothing to recommend here or brag about |
| User ReviewChuck ZI figured since I watched Killer Workout I might as well watch another health spa horror flix (these are the only two that I know of). This one didn't have as much bad charm as Killer Workout even though it does contain it's fair share of aerobic classes & bad 80s music but it's incredibly dull. Instead of a standard killer this one has a possession so it has a disturbing scene as the killer is flashing back & forth between her & her twin brother you see him in a dress. Possessed transvestites are frightening. Actually Im really grasping here. Nothing is interesting to Death Spa...Forgettable. |
