Ozus' World Movie ReviewsDennis SchwartzIt's unconvincing, moralizing and over melodramatic, but has some entertainment value.
User ReviewAllan Ci'm with tarantino on this anything with george sanders is worth seeing.
User ReviewKatie RThis film is way too underseen. It has some of the most incredible pacing I've seen in a movie. It takes its time to really tell the whole story, without ever feeling slow.
User ReviewEvan HThis movie has a very Citizen Kane and Sunset Boulevard vibe to it. George Sanders plays a conning man who cares only for money and making it to the top. Yvonne De Carlo plays her role of "Miss. Kelly" with class and feeling. Zsa Zsa Gabor plays a supporting role as a millionaire who wants to double her money and puts trust into Clementi. This movie rolls along smoothly with a flashback by Miss. Kelly. Definitely worth seeing!
User ReviewPaul DGeorge Sanders plays a cunning, conniving and heartless immigrant to great effect as he is extremely unlikeable, but at the same time he creates a character who's scheming creates plenty of interest. The only downside to this crime drama is the debonair Englishness with which Sanders plays it, not at any point does he convince as a Czech immigrant - even when his mother arrives from Europe she is played with a relatively convincing accent.
