Más GamersSebastian Zavala KahnIt isn't anything more than a terrifying story of survival, in which we see the same even from different perspectives. That's it. [Full review in Spanish]
User ReviewMr GI saw this and it's a good movie. Scary, suspenseful, and has a good story line for a video-game based movie. There is this one particular scene that I got a laugh out of... you'll know it when you see it.
User ReviewJess MFreaking awesome, if you don't play deadspace then don't comment on this great film. It's for superior adults only.
User ReviewRen S7 years since the original game came out I finally had the chance to play it and see what the fuss was about It was basically non-linear storytelling and the game developers created a new form of a terrifying outer space killer-alien project what worked so well was the constant dark shadows aboard the Ishimura, the design of the Necromorphs able to take so many freakish shapes, and having the same feeling as John Carpenter's The Thing except where that mutant-alien story took place on earth this game series takes place in the vacuum of space with no escape the first game was scary, gory, and heart-poundingly intense from start to finish even though the controls were a bit flaky and ammunition and health were limited this film takes place just after the events of Aegis 7 when Issac Clarke escaped and right before the events of the 2nd game a new crew from the Obono stumble upon the ruined landscape of the desolate planet, find a shard of the Marker artifact, and accidentally unleash more of the terror that befell the Ishimura crew a majority of the film is told in flashbacks from creepy-looking CGI to traditional hand-drawn anime the anime portions are way better and with more thought and construct explaining each of the crew's encounter with the Necromorphs and the corruption of the Marker the film zips by without wasting a single moment delivering much of the same scares and bloody scenes the game first spawned there's also a much deeper conspiracy surrounding the discovery of the alien race and the artifact meaning that the nightmare may not be far from over fills in several gaps and opens the way for a much bigger storyline for the rest of the series
User ReviewWilhelm Hwatch it only and if only you want to know more about Dead Space universe. This movie were quite enjoyable and needed for the sake of explanation. nice plot, nice animation, nice for those who want to delve deeper on the subject
User ReviewBrent Dreally cool stuff and a must have for fans of the Dead Space franchise. The whole flashback section (or sections, depending on how you see it) has a definite "Aliens" feel to it, from the chatter of the team to the mood of the Necromorph attack in space happening while all systems are failing. The interrogation sequences leading up to each of those sections are a little less exciting and are basically there to provide a framework for the meat of the story, but since both the flashbacks and the interrogations are equally well-written there's not that much room for complaint. Best of all, the ending is perfectly in keeping with the games and provides a nice sequeway to Dead Space: Ignition and through it, Dead Space 2.
User Review♥daisy (Moderator) .Way better than the first one. Really good back story for Dead Space 2.
User ReviewShelby LOverall, this one was a bit worse than the first animated movie, but it gives more background info and it has a stronger ending, so I will consider them about equal. The animation quality is again poor, but in a totally different way. Now the reason is bad CGI. In addition to that, they constantly switch between computer generated animation and the regular kind, which is irritating. I think the style of the latter even changes from time to time, which is even more confusing. All in all, as a stand-alone movie this would be crappy as hell, but as a companion piece to the second game (That I will play through next) it is acceptable, and the setting is definitely interesting to start my next dissecting adventure in the space.
User ReviewThomas Bif like the first one will like this not as gore as first one worth a rental
User Reviewleane ethis one wasnt as good as downfall but it wasnt to bad either this one was alot different it wasnt as gory as downfall and this one told the story through 4 different people and it was made by different artists so the drawing was different for each which was cool but i just wished it would of kept the pace of the other one instead of going forward with the story and then going back to retell it through someone else so that wasnt as entertaining to see but this was still a decent watch
