Full Plot Details

Set in beautiful Vancouver, four friends set out on an everyday errand and end up in a fight for their lives when they discover the body of a dead hooker left in their trunk. Lead by a sexy, impulsive Badass, her distant Geek twin sister, their bible thumping, Jesus loving Goody Two Shoes friend, and a chaotic, rock star Junkie pal, the group has to put aside their differences to dispose of the body before they're next. Thrown into their own personal purgatory, they face off against persistent police, a sleazy motel manager, chainsaw wielding triads, and a brutal serial killer. All the while they are followed by a mysterious Cowboy Pimp who wants to claim the corpse for his own. Will they uncover the truth behind the body and be able to stand up to their demons? Buckle up and get ready for the ride of your life filled with gun fights, extreme violence, blood, guts, gore, and goats. Dead Hooker In A Trunk is the unexpected first feature film written, directed, and produced by identical twin sisters, Jen and Sylvia Soska. The two newcomers created an impossible film that is an underground sensation, destined to become a cult classic and will make you fall in love with films again!

User Review - 10/10 by Shawn WAbsolutely love this film, it's completely insane and shows that you don't need to have loads of money to create a great film that is just 100% pure enjoyment. This has been a wonderful start for Jen and Sylvia Soska, they are definitely two sisters to look out for, I think we'll be hearing a lot of them in the deranged world of horror from here on out! <3 The more I watch this film, the more I love it even more!

The Soska Sisters tell their gorgeously f**ked up tale with passion and promise for future projects. The Soska Sisters' directorial debut is one of epic proportions despite it's not-so-epic budget, but maybe that's what makes the film so charming, that do-it-your-self vibe that this film is engulfed in. This films unique story is backed by its solid performances and it's even more solid visuals. It's a grindhouse-esque/exploitation masterpiece.

The sisters in the film discover the eponymous corpse in their trunk and embark upon a bloody adventure that will include love, murder, torture, and dismemberment. Funny, stylish, and twisted, Dead Hooker in a Trunk is an original horror vision that doesn't quite achieve true greatness because there is nothing beneath the surface, but it presages the more interesting endeavor Soskas made with American Mary.
