Washington PostGary ArnoldD.C. CAB is a musical mob scene, a raucous, crowded movie that's fun as long as it stays wildly busy, and a lot less interesting when it wastes time on plot or conversation. There's a lot of talent in the large cast, and Joel Schumacher, the director, generally keeps things bustling.
Ozus' World Movie ReviewsDennis SchwartzWhat can you say about a film that has Mr. T in a starring role?
Washington PostRita KempleyD. C. Cab is not an entirely bad movie -- it has its moments -- but if it had used more actual taxi-riding incidents and more recognizable driver types, it could have been a little masterpiece.

Washington City PaperIan BuckwalterBy any rational measure, D.C. Cab is pretty terrible...but for all its faults, it's our movie, because it gets the fact that this town has more sides than just the two on either side of the congressional aisle.
The Globe and Mail (Toronto)Rick GroenThe movie's inherent flaws and jumble of subplots and side characters barely make a scratch into the stereotypes and cookie-cutter story.
User ReviewCal HThis is one of my all time favorite movies. I won't say that it's an objectively great film, but it's so enjoyably silly that I can watch it over and over. It's full of so many people that hit the height of the their fame in the early 80s, turning this into a sort of time capsule of the time, both in the cast and in the views of DC at the time. While the film is fairly disjointed in its plot, I actually enjoy that fact, as it leads to some crazy and hilarious scenes. This has also been a fun movie to show people over the years. When I first got the dvd, my friends and I watched it every day for two weeks because different people who hadn't seen it would come over. A few of us watched it every time, and each new person enjoyed it enough that the audience grew the whole time. This movie is full of good memories for me, but it's also just a fun movie, especially if you're not expecting too much from it.
