Movie Reviews

The New York Times - 9/10 by Natalia WinkelmanThe film’s grand achievement is that it positions its subject as a mediator between humans and the natural world. Life cycles on, and if we make the right choices, ruin can become regrowth.
CNN - 8/10 by Brian LowryThere's always the risk of sounding preachy in this sort of exercise in a way that scares off those who can be reached, or perhaps worse, being unduly optimistic. Attenborough finds a middle ground.
The Guardian - 8/10 by Cath ClarkeIt is a personal film – and political, too. There is emotion and urgency in that familiar soothing voice.
IndieWire - 7/10 by David EhrlichOur planet is a finite place, and our lives on it are finite, too. The twilight of Attenborough’s time here speaks to that truth so beautifully that you wish this documentary had more to say about it.
The Telegraph - 6/10 by Tim RobeyIt has a whistle-stop quality, and you sometimes wish it would slow down to savour more personal details, rather than dishing out brisk bullet points from this amazing life.
User Review - 10/10 by KonanA fantastic and moving picture of the limited time we have left to make real change.
User Review - 10/10 by ratanmehtaDavid Attenborough has dedicated his life to showing us parts of this planet you or I will probably never see. This documentary probably one of his last, is truly impactful showing us not only how the world was destroyed just in his lifetime, but that there is further destruction yet to come. He tries to show us a way out. It's the best he can do, considering he cannot be here to help us. We're on our own. He is a terrific narrator, and much like Morgan Freeman being the voice of God (Bruce Almighty), David Attenborough is the voice of Nature.
User Review - 10/10 by AblooblaAn urgent plea for the world to pay attention to the health of our planet before it's too late. A must-see.
User Review - 10/10 by JackytheRipperPart autobiography, part documentary of the changes in the natural world, this film is beautiful and sad, impressive and eye-opening. It's clear, David Attenborough had a hell of a career and still has a mission.
User Review - 10/10 by mrniceA very beautiful documentary about the most pressing crisis of our time. The nature footage is touchingly beautiful. Attenborough's comments are crucial and on-point.
