Reel Film Reviews - 1/10 by David Nusair...another tedious, egregiously confusing horror flick that seems to be aiming for a David Lynchian sort of tone but instead winds up an entirely interminable piece of work.

User Review - 8/10 by Andrew COn a broad spectrum this movie is confusing and somewhat more complicated than it needed to be. But for a directorial debut this movie is quite impressive. The two dreamworlds are hauntingly similar and both characters are engaging and well fleshed out. In the end this is definitely watchable and has some GREAT moments. The blind detective being one.

Thora Birch gives a wonderful duel performance as both a bright suburban housewife seeking to have her first child and as the dark gothic parallel version of herself living in a lonely and evil place existing to eachother only in eachother's nightmares and both being stalked by the same hulking madman. Hard to follow but a good effort on the director's part.

Só depois de alguns minutos acabados do filme, é que pude montar na minha cabeça a verdadeira história... da falsa e da verdadeira... não é um filme auto-explicativo, não conclui de forma clara, tão pouco busca referências na cronologia dos fatos. Difícil de digerir, Dark corners perde o fio, a linha, a pipa, o carretel, e tudo mais, nos minutos finais, nos deixando com a impressão de que foi ceifado parte do filme pra caber no tempo pré-definido. Nada de diálogos claros, referências ao mundo "paralelo", ou metas pra cada personagem. De pouquíssimos apreciadores, este filme me envolveu, deixando claro que quase tudo mostrado na tela, é representativo, onírico, até metafórico. Não vou explicar a razão das coisas, cada um tem sua interpretação, e deve assistir pra poder degustar, dizer se o sabor agradou ou não. Mas não posso deixar de falar: é claro que alguém na história não é real!!!!! Obs.: Thora Birch está linda, é supertalentosa e injustiçada pela mídia.
