He hires a photographer to snap-shot Sue's father in the street and then, using the resulting photo as a guide, makes up to resemble papa. As papa, he fools that gentleman's coachman into driving him in the family coach to the boarding school, where Sue joins him. They journey to the parson's and are wed, and outwitted papa "comes around" all right.
