| User ReviewMrOrokuWow, I'm usually not someone that's harsh when reviewing something, but this movie was terribad to say the least. From over acting to illogical plot points, right in the first 15 minutes of the movie already.... It all starts off with a major hitting the bottle while on duty right before he has to move out for a meeting with his superior officer that he treats with blatant disrespect and calls by the first name in front of another lower ranking soldier....so everyone just disregarded protocol back then? It gets even more bizarre right off the bat; they attempt to secure a cliff overlooking the beach area by trying to scale it with ropes and grappling hooks, they subsequently get massacred right before a sergeant suggests that some solders run up the side of the cliff and go at the bad guys from the back......uhm...if you can just run up the side of the cliff without the Germans noticing, why is everyone trying to scale it with ropes while getting grenades lobbed on them and sawed down by enemy solders.....while the head honcho (that happens to be grossly overweight) leading this genius foray keeps asking the soldiers to "give him a oorah!" after any and everything basically happens...hahah...and the movie certainly doesn't get any better from there on out either. Don't waste your time watching this movie....rather re watch "saving private Ryan" or Black hawk down if you're in the mood for a war movie.... |
