Creative LoafingMatt BrunsonLacking the style and the smarts of the similar Witchfinder General, this unpleasant outing merely vacillates between silliness and sadism.
User ReviewColin FThey really do not make films like Cry of the Banshee anymore. The film starts off quite poor, but as the story moves on it really is a very good and original film, much better then some of the Hammer Horrors of that era. The story at times is quite bizare, features Patrick Mower as a Werewolf! The film is very well shot, so clear on DVD for a film from 1970. Excellent shock ending as well. Features Vincent Price back to his Witchfinding! and a young Michael Elphick Aka Boon!

User Reviewdelysid da non-scary vincent price movie about witch-hunting. it was not near as great as the conquering worm which is one of my favorites. not sure what he was doing with this film
User ReviewJeremy NVincent Price at his villainous best in this story of witchcraft and lycanthropy which is in a similar vein to Michael Reeves' classic Witchfinder General.
User ReviewRussell GNot one of Vincent Price's better movies, but still a decent watch. Quite similar to Witchfinder General in story and atmosphere, although Witchfinder is the better film here. Good for genre fans and wasting time, but otherwise, pass on this one.
User ReviewBrian BGood old Vincent Price being evil. This time he goes out on a witch hunt, literally. He gets a bit out of hand in his work.
User ReviewJessica HI often get this one mixed up with witchfinder general, but this one has a better story, I know. Although the story is better, the only good actor is Price, and the others are annoying. It's not that bad, I just didn't like it much.
User ReviewMichael TNot as good as Witchfinder General, but still has its moments.
User ReviewCarlos IA more gonzo version of Witchfinder General. It's got more violence and nudity than most of Price's stuff, and a stable full of bastards; a bunch of sadistic characters, that you don't really care what happens to any of them. It's got a cool ending though.
