Blu-ray.com - 7/10 by Brian OrndorfIt's B-movie expertise and genre inventiveness that's always interesting to watch, working where many filmmakers have failed.
We Got This Covered - 4/10 by Matt DonatoDix's film is a handful of genres all mushed together like different colored Play-Doh in the palm of a pre-schooler - in other words, a sloppy mess.
User Review - 10/10 by Ray WWell done by Aussie cast. Special effects good though reminiscent of Alien.
User Review - 10/10 by Daniel PAWESOME, you get to revisit the likes of Aliens cramped atmosphere along with scary twists after twists... Well done Justin Dix :D
User Review - 8/10 by Carlos IA slick, fun and gritty genre piece that proves that having a small budget shouldn't stop on-screen quality. Justin Dix is an Aussie filmmaker to watch!
User Review - 8/10 by FilmGrinder S82% "The situation is fubar, cheif."-Fourpack (Eddie Baroo) Starts out as a "bug hunt", complete with pulse cannon and motion sensor sound effects that are obious homages to...you guessed it! PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN. It then veers into the sciences of the mind, one of the most uncharted feilds, or is it? "What have you Frankenfucks been up to down here?"-Wiki (leak?) Peta Sergeant From there it goes else where, but I don't want piss too much. In the end, I would have liked to have seen "the ring" destroy "the madman", "the mob (or enforcers)" and "the monster", but hey the project does go by the name of Genesis. In the end, all I could think about was FRANKENSTEIN and how the subtext was going to fly over so many heads. "If you find yourself going through Hell, just keep going."-Caeser (Nickolas Bell)
User Review - 8/10 by TJ BMad Max was a B-movie that came out of Australia as well... people giving the poor reviews need to lighten up a bit - this film was a nice mash up of other stories...and ended up with its own flavor at the end of the day...memorable and a solid B for me - since I appreciate the B-move genre.
User Review - 6/10 by Roxanne RGood effort by Justin Dix (Director and co-writer) and cast members. This is a low budget Australian film that still manages to entertain and keeps you guessing how it will end. We have a TS government facility over 100 feet underground operated by the military and it comes under attack. So an elite squad of military personnel is sent to save/recover any remaining doctors and scientists. Once underground and inside the facility, they make big discoveries at their biomedical research section. The film goes from there. The acting is average, the special effects and editing were good; a few scenes were very gory and violent but overall great effort by cast and crew. This is another fine example of how shooting a film in basically one location is an economic advantage if your script/plot is interesting enough to keep the audience engaged. Available on Netflix instant streaming so enjoy!
User Review - 6/10 by Anna CThis australian movie is a patchwork of some others like Resident Evil, Pandorum, etc. Anyway it has something original and the results are quite good. It could also be the beginning of a new saga, but I think the leading actress is not enough impressive or charismatic.
User Review - 6/10 by Martin G"Crawlspace" is the first effort from Australian writer/director Justin Dix. It's a modest film with a slim budget, but it doesn't entirely wave in front of your face.
