One day as he's preparing to spend some quality time with his young daughter he gets an urgent call and responds to it - when he returns home his daughter is missing, but her body is quickly discovered. Racked with guilt he is also filled with hatred for the man arrested for the crime, but after being sent to prison the convict eventually manages to lure Richard into a secret correspondence. Doubts begin to surface - was he really the guilty man, or could this have been work of another serial child abductor who may have been in the area? Richard launches his own investigation, and finally uncovers a new witness. Gritty detective thriller.

A voir, vraiment !
User ReviewJenna IDujardin plays Richard Malinowski, a police detective married to an anesthesiologist. He's an upright guy, happily married, with a beautiful nine-year old girl, Emilie. The movie opens with Richard and Emilie having breakfast in their very lovely home one happy morning while mom is working her shift in the hospital. The phone rings, Richard answers the phone call, and leaves his little girl home. That was the last time he saw her alive. Counter-inquiry grabs you from the start. It is a gripping murder mystery, the story is compelling, the characters are believable, and Dujardin's performance breaks your heart. I won't give away the plot. This is an excellent film that grabbed me from the start. .
User ReviewLaila's MAn ok movie with an unexpected ending. Not bad for French cinema trying to imitate Hollywood.
User ReviewJames NThrough persistent correspondence over the course of three years and new elements in his possession, police captain Malinowski starts to doubt the man convicted for his 10 year old daughter's murder is actually guilty and starts a counter-investigation on his own. Strong drama with a complex plot, it's short (75 mins) and characters could have been developed more, but recommended as a solid French thriller.
User ReviewSimon Rsurprising, Dujardin played great, the plot was good, an overall good movie, enjoyed it :)
