User ReviewMarcello RI read about this in the paper on my way to the city, and I heard about it on the radio briefly beforehand. It's a little movie playing at one theater in Toronto for one week, and I had to see it. It's a mockumentary written by and starring Spencer Rice, is is one half of the duo behind Kenny vs. Spenny, which is, to me, the funniest television show ever created. In this low budget almost student film, Rice plays Mark Tobias, a man so obsessed with pornography and masturbation that he loses his wife Felice over it. While attending meetings for it, he shows pictures of his wife around and a fellow addict says that he's seen her in a porn. The movie in question is called "Down the Rabbit Hole" and has her being banged by a guy in a rabbit suit, and this shatters Mark's existence. With the help of his sponsor (played by Yuk Yuk's creator Mark Breslin who steals the show) and the film crew, they set out to Los Angeles to save Felice from the industry that she left him over. They cross paths with psycho porn producer Rob Black, and by telling him they want to document his life as part of the study of Mark's problem, attempt to get closer to Felice. It's a surprisingly touching film with a gut-busting script, Mark and Felice's big reunion is one of the funniest scenes I've seen all year. It involves bukkake. I'm really pissed that I didn't get to see it friday or saturday, as Spenny was in attendance doing Q&A.
User ReviewAlyson BGreat story, the humor is very good and not totally cheap. Acting is pretty good, too. Good movie for a low-budget kind.
User ReviewBrian ZHALF OF KENNY VS SPENNY makes a mock-u-mentery, very funny stuff.........almost cried a few times it's so re-dick-ulous, lots of phun intended.........i recommend this film 2 everyone with a sene of humour
User ReviewShawn Csurprisingly awesome...beginning sucks, but then outta nowhere gets good.
User ReviewBen Rnot bad for a cheap canadian production! a little too realistic for a mockumentary tho, no? or maybe i just know too many actual addicts.
User ReviewAmjad AIt's a pretty full on mockumentary. A self serious satire that doesn't take itself seriously. Instead it becomes self indulgent. It did portray the effects of pornography on modern youth, but I wouldn't call it front tier mockumentary .
User ReviewXinrui CA movie that is entertaining up to a certain point and then drags on a bit long. Not funny after a certain point, but the premise is humorous enough to ride through the film. At the end, though, there is nothing much to be gained from this movie other than some dull entertainment.
User ReviewChristopher TStarts of unique, but loses its track at halfway.. Still, it's one fun mockumentary :)
User ReviewNick Mit wasn't the funniest thing i've ever seen, but i made it the whole way through! there are a few really laugh out loud moments, especially a great gross out one at the end.
User ReviewJennifer SSaw at the CIFF. Only watch because Spenny's in it, and i gotta say it wasn't all that good. Gives me a headache with all its zooming in & out to try and give it an amateur vibe. "Choke" is way better with a similar theme.
