Washington PostStephanie MerryWhat starts out as genuinely bright veers into cringe-inducing territory -- at least for someone that isn't a man, ages 18 to 24.
The Hollywood ReporterJohn DeForeCopeland's film benefits from a cast familiar from such offbeat TV comedies as "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" and "Parks and Recreation," but it tends to embody conventions instead of subverting them, resulting in a product with only a bit more personality than the generic caffeine dispensary at its heart.
Madison MovieRob Thomas"Coffee Town" is kind of a disaster, just gaspingly unfunny for long stretches. You can see the comic actors flex their muscles, delivering zingers and bad-taste gags that probably looked great on paper. And . . . crickets.
User ReviewLucas NHilarious! Loved this movie. Steve Little is insane. Eastbound and down fans will love.
User Reviewmike hwhat a fucking amazing movie, best movie about a coffee shop in the known universe, so well done. One of my new fave movies that I will be watching over and over again until the end of time.
User ReviewJonathan athis movie was an epic surprise, the dialog was surprisingly funny throughout. the ending had a bit of a twist. I feel like it was written and executed very well. 5 STARS
User ReviewDremord1Hilarious movie, one of the best I've seen in a long time. You know it's going to be good when it has they guy who played Dennis Reynolds from It's Always Sunny, Ben Swartzch from House of Lies and Jake and Amir and the Retarded Policeman. Great writing, hilarious scenes and an awesome story. 10/10.
User ReviewdailysleazeSo much better than the comedy that comes out of Hollywood these days. Very talented writing. There are a few scenes which don't really push the story along, but they're funny enough to add value.
User ReviewAlex GI love this movie. I laughed hard from beginning to end. If you dig Kevin Smith's work ... and if you liked "Ted," then you'll also get a kick out of the sparkling dialogue of "Coffee Town." The main characters are deliciously idiotic as they try to commit the perfect "non-crime." I cannot recommend this film enough. See it. Laugh. Then watch a couple of ordinary, crummy comedies ... and then go back and re-watch "Coffee Town" and laugh some more. Enjoy.
User ReviewGreg WSurprisingly funny movie wish I would have seen it sooner
