New York TimesNeil GenzlingerCocalero, Alejandro Landes's documentary about the presidential campaign of Evo Morales in Bolivia, seems to mirror the campaign itself: ragged and bare-bones.
User ReviewKatty MExcelente trabajo, se muestra la idiosincracia del pais boliviano, y tomas exclusivas, muy inetresantes. de los dias previos a las elecciones.
User ReviewPrivate UInteresting topic, the director got amazing access to the now President, those around him and the Cocaleros. Aside from the main story of the President, the film managed to also touch on a whole host of other issues related to governance, politics, economics, development, anthropology and social psychology.

User ReviewCarlos CA very human look at the candidacy and election of the first ever indigenous president of Bolivia. The documentary follows the campaign of Evo Morales starting two months out from election day shining a light on the issues of coca farming, indigenous rights and freedom from the heavy hand of the big uncle to the north. A moving and very personal account with no desire to preach at you, only to show you the power honesty, integrity and courage can have to change the world.
User ReviewSteve GAs a film, this perhaps could use some work, but my understanding is that it's one of the director's first works. As a story, this film is absolutely amazing and breaks ground in terms of access to senior political figures. We watch the electoral fabric of a developing, troubled nation play out before our eyes as the relatively idealist, determined now-president, then-candidate Evo Morales lets us into his world, even down to his raquetball game and ratty Bolivian futbol jersey. Brilliant! Seen during the National Geographic "All Roads" film festival.
User ReviewGustavo AGlad to see the defeat of BIG corporate power, which is the real FASCISM. Very good docu about a very simple world leader.
User ReviewCintia QGreat documentary about Evo's political campaign, that shows at the same time how underdeveloped is Bolivia and how important is to support the democratic process in a country in which people doesn't even know how to cast a vote.
User ReviewPamela BGood documentary, very good access to Evo Morales who comes across very well.
User ReviewFinlay CBolivian presedential campaign. Indians versus Yankees. Democracy for the win.
