Movie Reviews

The Hollywood Reporter - 6/10 by Justin LoweBuilding on a string of B-movie action titles like Assassin’s Bullet and Ninja, martial arts veteran Florentine doesn’t need any schooling on running an efficient and energetic production.
FILMINK (Australia) - 6/10 by John NoonanWhilst Close Range doesn't reach dizzying heights of B-movie madness, there's still a lot of fun to be had.
Village Voice - 5/10 by Nick SchagerIt's as unsubtle as a boot to the head, but its dour-and-campy lo-fi style is far preferable to the spastic flash of its big-budget genre compatriots.
Los Angeles Times - 3/10 by Martin TsaiThere's no characterization to the cartel members beyond freeze-frame title cards; they are interchangeable and expendable.
User Review - 10/10 by Darragh MA group of American Hero's fight to survive a world filled with mindless, flesh eating, Liberals. Damn auto-correct, Zombies. All while spreading freedom across the faces of their enemies. They would find No Safe zones on their journey to protect humanity, only one obstacle after another. A fight to save man kind, using nothing but their God given talents, training, liberal tears and lots and lots of pew pews. All culminating in an amazing final battle, with all of humanity at stake. Oh and Titties.
User Review - 8/10 by Ryan BLovely Garbage. If you haven't heard by now, this movie is a glorious piece of shit. Deplorable acting, awful art direction, and a new level of rectum-clenching violence that will send your ass searching for a "safe space". Highly recommended.
User Review - 8/10 by Late RScott Adkins is one badass mofo in this small budget indi film. He's making a case for himself with each movie as to why he should have been cast as BATMAN over Ben Afflack. He's just one badass martial artist, and his acting in this movie doesn't show the actual acting range he might have but he's more than serviceable as an actor. The movie is a pretty direct action film with most of it taking place in a house. Which I love these sorts of films as they really are a throw back to the 80's, and 90's action flicks. Before the scope of every action movie became extremely large. He does a fantastic job showcasing his martial arts skills, and at no point am I thrown off by his acting as he was very good in all aspects. I liked this film a lot, and hope Scott Adkins gets bigger roles in the future as I truly think he's the real deal.
User Review - 7/10 by xsu-ecYou just shouldnt expect too much fros such budget movie. It's quite well maked FPS, like Commandos or MaxPayne etc. Most effects are not too expensive but looking good.
User Review - 6/10 by Elvy LClose Range starring "B-list" action star Scott Adkins is a pretty decent, straight to DVD action film. Pretty much allows Adkins to show of his athleticism and the storyline and plot are pretty simple. After a young girl - his niece - gets kidnapped, Adkins saves her and now it's up to him to keep her and her mother safe from the Mexican gang that kidnapped her in the first place. And that's it. That's the plot. The rest is mostly good action. Worth a watch on a boring day.
User Review - 6/10 by Shane JScott Adkins is one of the best action stars working in Hollywood today and whenever he collaborated with florentine you know one thing the action scenes are going to be out of this world!! This film is no different, you won't see much better action at your local cinema. Unfortunate unlike a few of the other films this doesn't really hold up in other departments. The acting is pretty terrible all round and by God the western style music will drive you up the wall after about 10 minutes (so pointless). The plots basic but does the job of tying all the action together. Worth a watch but don't expect to much
