Los Angeles TimesKevin ThomasCloak and Dagger is fun for adults as well as older kids, thanks to the imaginative writing (by Tom Holland) and direction (by Richard Franklin).

Washington PostGary ArnoldColeman and Thomas are unusually sympathetic embodiments of a father and son, and they have some moments that are legitimately stirring. Cloak & Dagger is never as adept or perceptive as you'd like it to be, but it's got what members of the critical fraternity traditionally characterize as a little something.
The New York TimesJanet MaslinIn addition to tossing in the occasional spy-movie homage (there's certainly a Hitchcock touch to Mr. Franklin's choice of villains), he has kept the story moving and the actors lively.

User ReviewJosh Dgawd..i must've seen this over a hundred times in my life since 1984 (note to self: trade in Atari 2600 for Atari 5200).
User ReviewApril PBest Movie EVER!!! A Hackers for the '80's. Everyone should see this movie!
User ReviewJohnny SBest movie and those movie of my favorite film and good for the family movie but violence and some people creep you out! And also Dabney Coleman play double role of Jack Flack and the Davey's father. E.T.-The Extra-Terrestrial star Henry Thomas as Davey Osborne, a young computer whiz kid plays Atari video game called Cloak & Dagger game in which he is a secret agent with his imaginary hero playmate Jack Flack (Dabney Coleman). However, one day Davey gets involved in a real-life spy drama and witnesses a real murder, but Davey's father (Dabney Coleman of course) having been fooled before, does not believe him and thinks that this is just another of the Davey's imaginary games. Davey can not get his father to believe that what he saw was real and is on his own. Suspenseful and fast-paced. Suitable for young people, but also of real interest to adults, too.

User ReviewJames CAnother awesome movie, but like some of my other favorites, I like it in large part due to nostalgia. It's a movie with a lot of imagination, and an excellently written script.
