User Reviewkris bThis is an awesome movie, this is the one that Carradine crafted the long flute seen in Kill Bill for... It's called "The Silent Flute" in some releases
User ReviewPaul MDavid Carradine both plays and kicks ass with his flute.
User ReviewNeal RPerfect allegory, awesome fucking actors. 'Nuff said.
User ReviewDavid HA grandious Combination of Martial Arts, bewichting Fantasy, Eastern Philosophy and Dark Comedy which is written by Bruce Lee and James Coburn and stars Jeff Cooper, David Carradine, Christopher Lee and Eli Wallach as one of the freakiest Characters in Film History
User ReviewArthur PSuper cheese! You gotta love it for its use of no budget sets, stars and the costumes that looked like they were picked up at a movie studio yard sale. Everybody was kung fu fighting and spouting absolute nonsense. A rockin' good time!
User ReviewNoel ENicely portrays a warrior's search for enlightenment. There is a strong Buddhist influence in this film (Via Bruce Lee).
User ReviewJonathan EThis is a movie the actors were either rushed/poor. If you have an appreciation for martial arts; concepts conveyed are thought provoking, not for the different styles, people in general. I thought?
User ReviewRobert W"The way of the Monkey is to play the fool, while you laugh at his antics he bites you from behind. Unmask his ego and you expose a coward disguised as a monkey." -There's way to much of Lee's ideas in here to let the lack luster overall impression of this movie bring down the deeply spiritual and enlightened concepts. Yes, its god awfully corny -so much so that it's a good thing. Seeing Carradine blow out that torch has me wondering to this day if he really did it. Or when he punches the cow, watch the animals eyes, its priceless, -and hey they guy plays like 3 of the roles. Its great fun to watch alone or with friends if your in the mood for a fun, insightful, corny corny corny movie. 10 stars -"tie two birds together, and though they have four wings, they cannot fly..."
