Leave your thoughts about Churchill: The Hollywood Years.
Times (UK)Wendy IdeThe humour is largely underpant-based and of the all-mincing, all-flouncing gay stereotype variety, which looks like a barefaced insult to the audience
User ReviewRob Tsooo bad but in a freaking hilaaaaaaaaaaarious...way :0)
User ReviewJamie WA brilliant comedy, satire and, almost, pantomime, on Churchill, Hitler and an assorted cast of royal and political figures from that era. Do not watch me in kamp f.
User ReviewBarry LSatire of World War 2 and Hollywoodisation of history. Features a cast of great comedy actors and actresses. Sounds great and is.
User ReviewRob RExtremely Sarcastic Slapstic British Humour.Too Funny To Explain.
User ReviewJustin Mthis a seriously under rated title but it is the funniest movie along with southpark the movie and team america this. Is about Churchill being American and coming to fight in England. While hitler and his men sneak in to England.
User ReviewEoin KA humourous insight in to history with the most famous british comedians eva
User ReviewJuan MNot a big film buff but this is just great. I'm still trying to count how many times Leslie Philips says "Oh FUCK!!!"
User ReviewPaul CMuch funnier than I expected it to be. Plays nicely on the American/ British stereotypes and has a fantastic cast, Vic and Bob in particular for me. Leslie Phillips was superb in his role, loved seeing Rik Mayall in there, and what a beautiful send up of Adolf Hitler. Final mention must go to the lovely Miranda Richardson, mmm!
User ReviewPeter PProbably should have been called "The Comic Strip Presents... Churchill: The Hollywood Years", same writers, producers and many of the same actors. Either way, it's a hilarious take on the way the Hollywood studios re-write history to suit themselves. Well written, well acted and funny as hell. A must watch.
