User ReviewMikel KSuper fun Korean monster-movie about a mountain village being threatened by a giant boar. The film keep to a Jaws-like story, but the performances are terrific and mostly the film is played for, if not laughs per se, then certainly to be illustrative of a very dry Korean sense of humour. Worth checking out if you can find it.
User ReviewChristopher BLike Jaws, Hot Fuzz and a bad drug trip rolled into a giant killer pig movie. A lot more entertaining than the similarly themed Pig Hunt, with likable characters and a decent pace. I don?t think it was because I was sick I found certain parts confusing (the town weirdo, aka Mommy), but always enjoy seeing other cultures humour.
User ReviewMohd SMan-eating wild boars going wild at Sam-Mae-Ri village (crimeless village). A lot of funny moments in this movie. I also recommended you too see Pig Hunt if you like Chawz.

User ReviewDean MFor me personally this is a 5 but I'm giving it a 6 because there were things I didn't like about this film that it is probably unfair to criticize too harshly. Basically, I cant stand 3 Stooges type black humour unless it is done well (i.e. Evil Dead). The humour here isn't done well. I love creature features which is why I was excited about this, I even enjoy badly rated creature features like 'Lake Placid' - I like the mish mash of comedy and horror but this wasn't done well. Secondly it is a good 40 minutes too long! Seriously! It was very slow and at 2hrs they could have done it in an hour and 20, 2 hours for this sort of film is not necessary. Its not smart enough! There is no plot to develop! The boar is kind of cool though. This doesn't stand out as a horror or a comedy or a parody - had it been shorter and less character based it would have been better.
User ReviewChristophe CIt was a pretty good and funny monster movie. Entertaining
User ReviewLee ?An interesting spoof on Jaws with the island of Amity swapped for a mountainous region of South Korea and a huge wild Boar taking the place of the great white Shark. Quite good overall but not as funny as I had hoped. It was fun to spot the references to other hollywood films, aside from Jaws, Predator is another that gets spoofed during the last half of the film. It's not until 55 minutes that we get a proper look at the killer Boar itself and it looked pretty good for a CGI'd effort and is a ferocious foe to the human hunters on its tail. There wasn't enough action for me really and some gore would have been nice.
User ReviewAmy HA lot of fun, flaws and everything. Those little piggies are really cute, the movie could do away with one particular character that adds nothing to the whole thing, but i still had fun watching this.
User ReviewSteve WIt's Jaws; but instead of a shark its a boar, and instead of Amity Park its a rural village in Korea. The first half of this wildly crazy monster movie is pretty lame, with humour that misses its mark and way too many characters. Thankfully, the second half picks up by getting down to five central characters, with tons of crazy antics to destroy the man-eating gigantic boar that is terrorizing the village. If they had ditched the unfunny humourous tone, it would have been more effective.
