Middle-aged Gerald Kingsland advertises in a London paper for a female companion to spend a year with him on a desert island. The young Lucy Irvine takes a chance on contacting him and after a couple of meetings they decide to go ahead. Once on the island things prove a lot less idyllic than in the movies, and gradually it becomes clear that it is Lucy who has the desire and the strength to try and see the year through.... | User ReviewJoan-of Athe story is about the FedEx deliverer played by tom hanks whose about to marry his fiance but unfortunately the plane crashed.. and hanks survived.. in the island he had his companion named Wilson (a volleyball).. he talked to the ball and he treated wilson as a person. amazing story. the whole story focuses on hanks survival on the deserted island. He finds something to eat, like a caveman to create fire and basically he works for his survival. my fave part was when wilson fell into the ocean and hanks try his very best to save his imaginary friend. whole movie is worth the time to watch |
