| User ReviewMattias ECinematographer and budding director Venus Keung gets dealt a pretty bad hand with Bullet & Brain. Not only does Wong Jing's screenplay suffer severely from it's own annoying pseudo-smartness, there are also budgetary issues that make B&B look incredibly cheap in spite of having three of Hong Kong's most expensive actors in the cast. There's also the alienating effect of having events play out in an unnamed, and sort of futuristic, city instead of a familiar Hong Kong setting. Not to mention the amateurish dubbing and crappy mainland actors. Regrettably, Bullet & Brain is just another example of how mainland China and Wong Jing, together and separately, seem intent on destroying what's left of Hong Kong cinema. |
| User ReviewAmy HQuite average..plot was a bit plain....and why keep using China girls?? They're so bad in acting!! Also if you are going to get a tabletop dance girl...at least get one that have a body rather than an ironing board!! Consider how many China girls are there!! |
