User ReviewAl MA pseudo-found-footage film that explores a religious cult, Bryan Loves you often deviates from the genre form. While the film starts interestingly enough and features appearances by Tony Todd (Candyman) and George Wendt, it just never quite becomes what it could have been. Still, it is a rather interesting and entertaining--if ultimately disappointing--film.
User ReviewCarl Nkind of crappy camera work except for a couple parts, acting was so so, and there was no fx
User ReviewKathy DI started watching this, but it was just too stupid.
User ReviewJason DMy goodness, what a horrible movie! I was eagerly awaiting this for for....hmm...um...FOREVER!!! It finally came out today, couldn't buy it, so I settled for a renter. BEST SAVE OF MY LIFE because this film was a huge letdown. The story revolves around obtained (think Blair Witch) footage of a young therapist who (along with his friends) start to notice a small takeover of their town by cult extremists who worship someone named Bryan. I give it two stars because there were a couple of effective scares within this film, as well as the barrage of cult icons that pop up within the film including Tony Todd (Candyman), George Wendt (Cheers), Tiffany Shepis (hot as shit), Brinke Stevens (80's Scream Queen), and Lloyd Kaufman (founder of Troma). Unfortunately, it is very apparent that creator/director/writer/lead actor Seth Landau spent ALL of the budget on getting these people to walk in front of the camera rather than investing in the film. The guy is very creative and can offer a lot to the horror film business, but he really needs to mold his craft, and NOT act, because his bland, monotone-voiced, acting just about made me want to tear my head off!!!
User ReviewAlex CTony Todd opens with the beginning narration for what seems to be an entirely different movie. This movie goes steadily downhill from there. The mythical Bryan was the son of a king and queen... In Arizona... Yes, apparently royalty once lived in Arizona. We're never sure what happened to this kingdom, just that Bryan was killed by some guy as a child and now everyone is loved by him. That's as deep as the plot goes. Once the main character's two friends have left the movie, we are forced to become painfully aware just how much he sucks at acting. The actor, who's not surprisingly also the director and producer, can't emote to save his life. It is impossible to be conviced by his performance.
User ReviewVeronica BBest thing about it was Tony Todd's intro. Filmed like an amateur film, similar to PARANORMAL ACTIVITY. Terrible terrible acting & story.
