Filmcritic.comDon WillmottFor some sociological reason I have yet to decode, teenage Japanese girls have a thing for comic books depicting hot boy-on-boy romances, complete with steamy sex scenes.
User ReviewCharla HI think it is just so sad and yet so cute when he is Carrying his lovers body in to the sea .
User ReviewLarry JI love this movie. It just sad. The quotes, there were special. Noeru has been drawing/painting since he was young. I amazing that the plot of how much one painting, show Noeru (Takumi Saito) emotion and the sad memories of his friend, Ken, who promises him to take him to the ocean together. Both weeks later, Ken dies. And Noeru is taking emotion and promises hard . . thus, sleep with a lot of one-night-stands. But he opens up to Yoshikazu Kotani character, a hot reports. That help Noeru with his feelings. But I really, Really enjoy the quotes during the movie.
User ReviewAlex RThe sudden sad ending was a killer, but overall - a sad story.
User Reviewcli oNicely constructed film, a few odd moments, with a sad ending.
User ReviewAnnalyn Dit's an alright movie. some of the characters interesting, the plot a bit interesting at times. nothing out of the ordinary.
User ReviewAndrew PWasn't that bad. It was okay. I was interested from the begining to the end.
User ReviewTyler HTaishin, a reporter who was assigned to interview Noeru,a male young model, finally fell in love with him, despite the Noeru's rude behaviour towards him
User ReviewAlyssa NI've seen mainstream romantic comedies that are less cheesy and more in touch with reality than this. Even if you accept how synthetic the story feels and try to enjoy it as guilty entertainment, you'll still be let down. The actors are trying so hard to get into their roles that I feel sorry for them, but this is soap opera acting at its worst. During the bathroom stall tryst, the protagonist was probably aiming for a hybrid of shame and pleasure, but he looks sort of constipated. And the cliches are too many to count, from the mysterious past of the love interest to the "nice guy" best friend turning out to be a romantic rival, and not standing a chance. But despite all of this movie being pretty poor, the ending is still the worst part. It is so ridiculous and uncalled for that the story loses any chance at credibility it had left, and all I could do was cringe.
User ReviewHard Hearted HI saw this because I thought it would be cute. It kinda was but by the end of it, I wished I could get that hour and half of my life back. If you're thinking about watching this, I suggest you don't. Go ride a bike, watch tv, create something. Your time could be better spent.
