| User ReviewGaëlle C"Comedie de moeurs" ou "comedie dramatique", c'est vite dit. Car question comedie, "Il reste du jambon" est très fade et peine à arracher plus qu'un demi-sourire. Pas mieux du côte dramatique avec sa construction plan-plan qui enfile tous les poncifs comme des perles. Et ce n'est même pas la peine de se rabattre en desespoir de cause sur la romance, tellement guimauve et peu credible qu'elle ne ferait même pas tressaillir les jeunes filles en fleur. Mais soyons honnêtes quelques instants : pour un premier film d'un ex-animatrice TV, aussi platement mis en scène soit-il, "Il reste du jambon?" a le merite de ne jamais rechigner à jouer sur tous ces cliches culturels rebeu/gaulois que le cinema français traite d'ordinaire avec une extrême prudence. Il ne le fait peut-être pas de la façon la plus subtile qui soit mais renvoie tout le monde dans les cordes et ça, c'est plutôt rafraichissant. Dans le genre "Choc culturel infra-hexagonal", preferez-lui tout de même "Neuilly, sa mère!", plus efficace à tous points de vue. |

It was bearable until Anne Marivan's character decided to wear a dress made of slices of ham to upset her Algerian boyfriend - even I was offended by that. Perhaps that scene was inspired by Lady GaGa, but it just looked stupid. |
