Η ροή του θρίλερ κυλά ομαλά, ώστε ο θεατής να είναι σε θέση να δει τον Άλεξ να μετατρέπεται από έναν ιδιόμορφο και εσωστρεφή χαρακτήρα σε έναν εμμονικό, σκοτεινό «ταξιδιώτη». Αξίζει να αναφερθεί πως παρόλο που οι ερμηνείες δεν είναι αρκετά αξιόλογες, καθώς μιλάμε κυρίως για πρωτοεμφανιζόμενους ηθοποιούς, οι οποίοι δεν σε κάνουν να αμφισβητήσεις τον ρόλο που υποδύονται, καθώς και τις επιλογές αυτού. Υπάρχει μια φυσικότητα στους χαρακτήρες καθώς και μια σχετική λιτότητα, τόσο στους ίδιους εσωτερικά όσο και στο περιβάλλον τους. Τα σκηνικά, δηλαδή, όπως και τα εφέ είναι ρεαλιστικά και στοχευμένα. Αξίζει εν τέλει να αναφερθεί, ο ιδιαίτερος τρόπος που συγχέεται η ψύχωση και οι μεταφυσικές εμπειρίες, βλέποντας τον νεαρό πρωταγωνιστή να προσπαθεί να κλείσει τις πληγές του παρελθόντος με μια δύναμη που δεν μπορεί να ελέγξει. Δυστυχώς, στην προσπάθεια της να γίνει τρομακτική, η ταινία έχασε ένα σημαντικό χαρτί. Αυτό της εμβάθυνσης στο κομμάτι της αστρικής προβολής. Με άλλα λόγια, υπερτόνισε το κομμάτι της δαιμονικής παρουσίας και έχασε την βασική ιδέα που ήταν η εξωσωματική εμπειρία. | User ReviewbartcbemAbsolutely wasted potential. The movie grasped my attention at first with its premise but sadly everything fell apart spectacularly with silly, full of cliche second part. There were nothing to save the picture, no memorable actors, moments, nothing. Only silly CGI devil and lady with the cross blabbering verses to scare it away. If it was a joke, it wast funny. Astral is just one of the many poorly made, boring, unsatisfying movies about "supernatural demon" entities that adds nothing to the subject. Not sure what was the purpose of making it this way as the idea of Astral Projections opens so many more interesting and unique story telling opportunities. |
