Movie Reviews

BrianOrndorf.com - 9/10 by Brian OrndorfAgrelo bumbles the mystery and borderline insanity of the material. What should be a bold depiction of a frazzled mind is instead a bewildering feature with a tenuous hold on human concerns.
Village Voice - 7/10 by Nick SchagerJessica Alba gets plain-Jane crazy for An Invisible Sign, a syrupy "A Beautiful Mind" redux in which the starlet sports big brown bangs and Pippi Longstocking pigtails.
Common Sense Media - 4/10 by S. Jhoanna RobledoLukewarm dramedy is OK for teens but lacks power.
Los Angeles Times - 4/10 by Kevin ThomasAlba gives such a focused, interior portrayal that she just might have managed to carry the movie had it been better.
Reel Film Reviews - 4/10 by David Nusair...a plodding, consistently tedious waste of time...
ComingSoon.net - 3/10 by Edward DouglasSimply put, An Invisible Sign is one of the worst movies we've seen in a very, very long time.
Screen International - 2/10 by Brent SimonA soupy, entirely unconvincing grab bag of unmotivated behaviors and unearned emotional payoffs, An Invisible Sign feels like part of some woebegone, misguided stab at indie credibility and image adjustment for Jessica Alba.
Film Journal International - 2/10 by David NohStrictly recommended for those who love their movies quirky, in monstrously large doses.
New York Times - 1/10 by Jeannette CatsoulisCuter than a basket of puppies licking a litter of kittens, An Invisible Sign is an excruciatingly whimsical collision of adult themes and kid-friendly aesthetic.
User Review - 10/10 by Jessica SThis movie was fantastically done. While capturing a magnificent, heart-wrenching story full of foreshadowing, somber moments and comedy, An Invisible Sign's actors wonderfully highlight all of its positive traits. Characters, albiet unusual, have great purpose in their actions when given a closer look towards mental illness. This movie is for those who really like them quirky, and is definitely one you can watch over again as so much of the story ties together. I strongly recommend this film.
