Movie Reviews

TheDivaReview.com - 6/10 by Diva VelezALONG WITH THE GODS: THE LAST 49 DAYS has much to thank Don Lee, Ju Ji-hoon and Kim Hyang-gi for. Throwing the movie over to their wonderful performances saved the film from being completely irredeemable, and improved it over the original.
Korea Herald - 5/10 by Min-sik YoonThe film is one that had potential to be great but ended up just being OK, and that is not OK.
The Hollywood Reporter - 5/10 by Elizabeth KerrDespite the general bloat, The Last 49 Days has its share of little pleasures.
Los Angeles Times - 5/10 by Noel MurrayWhile “The Last 49 Days” is awkwardly bloated, it does eventually develop some momentum. Once viewers get accustomed to a movie that can move within minutes from courtroom drama to dinosaur attacks, they may enjoy the overwhelming spectacle of it all.
The Straits Times (Singapore) - 5/10 by Yip Wai YeeThe main problem is how overstuffed the story is, as if the director was trying to cram whatever he could not before into the sequel all at once.
South China Morning Post - 4/10 by James MarshWhereas the original was magical and engrossing, its follow-up is at times a thunderous slog.
User Review - 10/10 by Lilian Lgreat movie and storyline revolving around karmic relationships. good all round acting ..especially from so jung (house god).

User Review - 5/10 by JLuis_001It is my understanding that this movie and the previous one; Along with the Gods: The Two Worlds from 2017, were shot at the same time, so it's understandable that they don't look like different movies. But that's a serious complication for the best functioning of this story, since what was appreciated as innovative in its predecessor, here becomes repetitive and consequently it feels like an unnecessary continuation and I don't say it because the story is lost, but because nothing grows, nothing evolves, it's just part of the same. I was interested in seeing where this sequel would go because I liked the first one, and while it was still fun in parts, it just wasn't the same feeling anymore.
