User Review - 6/10 by Michael TIn my opinion this film is a step up from the first Alone in the Dark -- who actually thought that movie merited a sequel? Rick Yune gives a pretty good performance and Lance Henricksen is always worth watching. I didn't think the SFX were bad or especially good either, just okay. The story was confusing. I never did completely understand what it was all about. Perhaps a second viewing would clear that up but I'm not overly likely to watch it again. It was mildly entertaining viewing.

User Review - 6/10 by Joshua BEven though Uwe Boll was involved, he only produced the film. The weird thing is, it has some of his regulars in it and they actually are adequate in the acting department, while on Boll's film's themselves, they can't act at all. I guess my question is answered for sure. Boll just can't direct actors. As for the movie itself, it completely disregards the first, with a much different story, but has setting similar to the game. It's standard B-movie fare. I actually liked the first better. And somewhere along the line, Edward Carnby became Asian...

User Review - 6/10 by dylan sto be honest i dont get how the fuck this fallows the first one dose it take place before it? after it? or what?! and why the fuck is carnby asian?! everyone els was pertty kick ass with little bit turns from bill mosley, micheal pare, zack ward, danny trejo but still....carnby wasnt fucking asian!!!!! and fuck what happen to the whole 713 deal?!...im starting to think....prequal....but still.... should of at least dressed like him...i think micheal pare should of played him insted and it should of taken place where the first one left off and be like the new game where he wakes in centeral park not knowing what the fuck is going on they could of used the puppets from the first film i mean...just...kinda pissed me off...but as said...as a sand alone movie...not bad....
