Zel is a fortune teller. She lives and works in an old house at the edge of the woods. The house is crowded with ghosts (including a priest, a bride, a mute child, some washed up vaudevillians and a noisy, sight-impaired group of musicians among others) that have been there for as long as she can remember. When a mysterious light appears in the woods the ghosts realize that they are trapped and begin to rebel. Zel is forced to come to terms with the origins of these spirits a... | User ReviewDeva DThe movie info is wrong on a couple of points. The ghosts have been there for decades and it was Zel's grandmother who trapped them, not the light in the woods. If you watch to the end you'll see Zel unplug the light and it leads you to believe she planned it all along so she could have her life back. A 'don't want to lose you but I wish you would go' kind of thing. |

The experience was heightened by the score, which was performed live, but I feel as though the film could stand on its own legs regardless. |

Yet, if one keeps in mind this was directed by essentially the band Califone for the release of one of their albums of the same name, one can enjoy the film a little more with their tongue in cheek. Filled with good music and sub-par technical filmmaking, "All My Friends Are Funeral Singers" is more of a moving art piece than a complete film. |
